Task Training

Transparent Image + AI Background

Overview

In this task, you will find transparent images of objects (logos, icons, people, things) and generate unique AI backgrounds for them. You will then write a prompt describing how to reverse the transformation — isolating the object from its new background.

Task Flow

1

Find a transparent image

Search Google Images for a transparent PNG. The task pre-fills a filter for transparent images. Copy the image address when you find one you like.

2

Load the image

Paste the image URL into the input field and load it. Verify the image has no visible background.

3

Generate an AI background

Write a prompt to generate a background scene. Be descriptive and create a background that is unique for that image. For example, "Create a cartoon image of a dog park with dog toys and a large grassy area. Use black outlines and bold colors." for an image of a cartoon dog, with a ball in its mouth, that has black outlines and uses bold colors.

4

Position your image

Drag and resize your transparent image on the generated background. Place it somewhere that looks natural. If the transparent image does not look like it was originally part of the composition, repeat step 3.

5

Submit and review

Press submit to see a side-by-side of the composite image (with background) and the original transparent image (without background).

6

Write the extraction prompt

Write a prompt that describes in specific detail how to isolate the object and remove the background. For example: "Remove the trees, grass, sky, the dog toys on the grass, and all other dog park equipment from the image. Leave just the cartoon dog and the ball in its mouth, and isolate them in their current position on to a transparent background"

What is a transparent image?

A transparent image (usually a PNG) has no background — the area around the object is see-through rather than filled with a color like white or gray.

Good — Transparent

Checkered pattern shows through — no background

Bad — Has background

Solid white background visible — avoid these

When you click on an image in Google and see a solid color around it instead of the checkered transparency pattern, skip that image and find another one.

Tips

  • Duplicate images are blocked — each image can only be used once
  • Some images may fail to load — just skip and try another
  • Match the style of your background to your image (cartoon to cartoon, realistic to realistic)
  • Be creative with your object choices — logos, icons, people, animals, products all work
  • Be descriptive in your extraction prompt — specify what to remove and what to keep
